All You Need – Free eBook

22 November 2010 11 Comments

Based on the brilliant Holly Hoffman’s advice a year ago, I named 2010 my Year of Love.  I wanted to explore all things love, not just the disaster and shambles that were my romantic love life, but all of it.

So I reached out to 27 of the best writing and online minds I knew.  Some were friends, some were websites I followed.  Some people blogged regularly, some people were a little less frequent, some people didn’t have a website at all.  Some have a large subscriber base, some have only their mother and college roommate.  Some are married, some are divorced, some are single, some have kids…

You get the point.

All You Need started as a series on the website, and quickly grew to be the beginning of an anthology of essays pondering and researching all things love.

This is a FREE eBook available for your download.

Contained within you will find personal, private and humorist essays covering topics such as:All You Need - The Series

  • First Dates
  • Falling in Love
  • Falling Out of Love
  • Finding a “Just Right” Love
  • Marriage, the Ups and the Downs
  • Loving Yourself
  • Loving Friends
  • Loving Pets

  • …And Much More!

One day soon, when I do a year-end assessment to wrap-up my 2010 Year of Love, I’m going to sit down with a cup of coffee and a copy of this book to devour it yet again.  I hand-selected each of these pieces for the value they brought to the series. The writers were not paid or compensated in any way, they just wanted to share their own experiences and advice and opinions with the world.

They did it out of love.

IF YOU FIND THAT YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH ALL YOU NEED – THE SERIES THEN I HAVE A HUGE FAVOR TO ASK YOU!

What can I say – I’m overwhelmed with the community of love!

I’m so proud of you for finally getting this out the door! See, I think it was good that you didn’t send it in early March for fear that we would all be on love overload. So really, you were very considerate to wait this long.

It was an honor to be part of the series, and incredible to watch the creativity and professionalism you poured into it at every step. It’s been so fun watching The Webb’s and YOUR transformations this year!

Can’t wait to pick our themes for next year…I’m declaring 2011 the official “WE’RE ON A BREAK” from Love year. Hah. More like the “listen to my own heart” year, but we’ll save that for another post or epically long slumber party.

It wouldn’t look so pretty without your kind but critical eye looking it over just short of a bajillion times! Thank you again. :)

And considering the emotional state I was in this weekend (well, I think sheer exhaustion has something to do with that too!) it probably WAS considerate to give it a dormancy period.

Yay for 2011 themes! I already have a couple in mind…we’ll see **insert mischievous grin**

Oooh…I think there’s another post abrewing in there. Or yes, epic long slumber party. Most def!

Thanks again for ALL your help, for your contribution, and for being the bestest #SPIRLBFF a girl could EVER ask for!

You put together a sexy e-book! Honored you asked me to contribute and really enjoyed being a part of it. Even though I always hate my own writing and thought I sounded like a d-bag, you did a good job of reassuring me it was ok to push publish on my post. Thank you for that.

Looking forward to 2011′s Love Essays “Love Pas de Deux.” Who do you have lined up?

By the way, I’m going to put a link to your e-book on my blog. It was definitely one of my favorite blog series anyone has ever done. Good job, Elisa!

David – Haha, thanks! I think the exhausted lack of sleep final touches REALLY puts it into a special place! :P

I’m looking forward to the 2011 essays as well…and I can’t tell you who is lined up yet! That’s a SECRET!!!

And thanks for the link, I really appreciate it. :)

PS (Why don’t you make a nifty little blog badge for your e-book download? Then people could paste it on their blog. If you need help doing that, I could probably give you a hand. And I promise I’ll make it look snazzier than my last attempt.)

Oh, duh. You already have that. You just don’t have it hyperlinked.

Ok, I’m done being a comment whore now.

Haha, yes, the little badge is there. No link for the first couple days as the post is in the headline, but after Friday the badge will be linked. :)

Hey there – Thanks for including me on this – it was such a great thrill to be called on by you to be involved, and to be included with others that I highly respect. You did a wonderful job sending it out, and I apologize for my disappearance the last couple weeks – I’ve been here and reading it!

OpheliasWebb looks amazing by the way! Love the new design!

Hey Rich! It was great to have you included. I think a lot of people identified with your love for your pet as a different love than you see in lots of movies but important and moving nonetheless. And no worries, you kept the momentum going into this week! :)

As for the design, I can’t take credit. That’s all Norcross and his awesomeness with WordPress design. I just go in and change code and completely mess up his stuff!
