I update The Webb on far too few Tuesdays with a little ditty about my most recent #blogcrush &#8211; a blog that I follow frequently and find inspiration, laughter and deep thoughts from. You know who they are, those bloggers that you&#8217;ve never even met but you feel a strange connection&#8230;you almost have a little crush on them? These are most definitely folks on my blog roll, and if you are reading and subscribing to The Webb they should be on yours, too.

<p><em><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">I update The Webb on far too few Tuesdays with a little ditty about my most recent <a href="http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=blogcrush">#blogcrush</a> &#8211; a blog that I follow frequently and find inspiration, laughter and deep thoughts from. </span></span></em></p>
<p>I learned about this week&#8217;s <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/check-out-the-series/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">#blogcrush</a> because just about everyone in my little blogosphere-y circle of friends essentially worships her as a hilarious, brazen, sassy, opinionated, genuine, amazing young woman and I was totally out of the loop for not following her.  I&#8217;ll admit, being the sometimes shy and often straight-laced girl that I am, my first few times reading her blog I was torn between <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/pubic-hair-televisions-and-something-thats-kind-of-related-to-gun-control-except-not-really-at-all" target="_blank">slight blushing horror</a> and <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/life-lists-the-apple-store-and-chinese-foot-massage" target="_blank">virtual roll-on-the-floor laugh-out-loud giggles</a>.  But that&#8217;s just <em>one</em> of the awesome things about <a href="http://www.twitter.com/nicoleisbetter" target="_blank">Nicole Antoinette</a>, and her blog <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/" target="_blank">More Is Better</a>.   After I met her and got to know her EXTREMELY well <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2010/04/how-blogging-got-me-a-best-friend/" target="_blank">during my visit to San Francisco</a> (let&#8217;s just say she and I were locked in a bathroom for a few hours and Nicole was most certainly not wearing pants* for most of the time) I can guarantee that much like her blog, with Nicole there is so much more than meets the eye.</p>
<p>If you want just a small shot-sized dose of Nicole&#8217;s humor (she is frequently referred to as an <a href="http://untemplater.com/author/nantoinette" target="_blank">online personal humor essayist</a>) you really need look no further than her About Me section labeled &#8220;<a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/the-girl" target="_blank">The Girl</a>.&#8221;  First of all, I have the utmost respect for any girl who will not only refer to the boy she&#8217;s seeing as <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/category/james-bond" target="_blank">James Bond</a>, but also finger crossie promises things to him via About Me page.  Second of all her <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/the-list" target="_blank">Life List</a> is one of my favorites, as it includes lots of different stuff from milking a cow and going canoeing to &#8220;&#8221;Get photographed naked for TimeOut NY’s Naked New Yorker Photo Shoot&#8221; and ride in a submarine.  Plus she has <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/wolf-penis-pitch-black-darkness-and-my-obsession-with-chelsea-handler" target="_blank">a mad girl-crush on Chelsea Handler</a> who is easily in my Top 3 list of celebrity girl crushes as well, so it only makes sense that if she gets to drink vodka with Chelsea then I am TOTALLY there, too.  Third of all, she runs an amazing website design/development company with her roommate/BFF/heterosexual lifemate/former #BlogCrush called <a href="http://www.shatterboxx.com/" target="_blank">Shatterboxx Media</a> which basically works to make the internet a prettier place (truly, her site is a great example of their beautification!)  Fourth of all she writes for a <a href="http://toywithme.com/author/nicole/" target="_blank">bunch of other</a> <a href="http://www.stratejoy.com/category/season-2/nicole-antoinette/" target="_blank">cool places</a> AND she introduced me, <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/category/internship" target="_blank">via her internship</a>, to <a href="http://thebloggess.com/?page_id=2" target="_blank">The Bloggess</a> who is another person I had no knowledge of because I pretty much lived under a rock.</p>
<p>But her blog is right &#8211; More Is [Definitely] Better.  So when she writes about her shenanigans like <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/cheap-wine-flashlights-and-things-you-think-arent-related-except-they-totally-totally-are" target="_blank">finding wine glasses on Amazon that will fit an entire bottle of wine</a> and <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/independence-day-the-geographic-inaccuracy-of-stupid-fucking-alaska-and-a-placemat-that-basically-ruined-my-life" target="_self">maybe kinda sorta not knowing EXACTLY where Alaska is geographically</a> I am completely drawn in to the way she makes the most simple things seem like the greatest stuff ever.   A rarity in much of blogging, she shares so much of herself online and does it well.  Whether she&#8217;s writing about <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/being-single-internet-stalking-and-2003-vs-2009" target="_blank">being single and internet stalking potential dates</a> or <a href="http://www.stratejoy.com/2010/03/the-21st-century-threesome-me-you-and-my-blog/" target="_blank">the penultimate awkward conversation</a> with a boy you really really really ridiculously like about your blog and his place in it, she is engaging and raw and funny as all hell.  This is a skill I have rarely seen executed so well in blogging.</p>
<p>And this week, when Nicole managed to intermingle ALL OF THAT AMAZINGNESS with <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/5-days-in-denver-5-days-in-a-hospital-and-the-things-that-actually-matter" target="_blank">one of the most beautifully raw posts</a> about falling for someone and finding out what matters, I wanted to jump up and down screaming at the top of my lungs to everyone I knew about it&#8217;s awesomeness.  If you click NOTHING ELSE in this #BlogCrush, click the link for <a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/5-days-in-denver-5-days-in-a-hospital-and-the-things-that-actually-matter" target="_blank">this post</a>.  I read it and tears actually formed in my eyes.  I heart it THAT MUCH!  Just to give you a little taste:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>Thing one is that you really don’t know how deeply you’re in the hole of I’m-unlimited-crazy-about-him until you look up and see that ground level is thundering light-years above your head.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>So if you are looking for a hilarious (seriously HILARIOUS) and frank and deliciously vulgar take on the ups and downs and all-arounds of figuring out your 20&#8242;s and making two-buck-chuck look classy, make sure to add <strong><a href="http://nicoleisbetter.com/" target="_blank">More Is Better</a></strong> to your feeds.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 85%;"><span style="font-style: italic;">Who is your #BlogCrush in the blogosphere? Make sure to update it on your blog with your own! Wanna learn how #BlogCrush works? Check out the <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/check-out-the-series/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">guide</a> and <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/08/faqs-blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">FAQ&#8217;s</a>.</span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 85%;">* Figured that would get your attention &#8211; The plumbing in James Bond&#8217;s apartment backed up at the post-post-Tweet Up event and we diligently cleaned it up AFTER she went searching in San Francisco at 3 AM for paper towels and a plunger.  Do you know how hard it is to find a plunger in San Franciso at 3 AM?!</span></p>

</span></span></em></p>
<p>I learned about this week&#8217;s <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/check-out-the-series/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">#blogcrush</a> when I was out visiting another <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/08/blogcrush-jenny-blake/" target="_blank">#blogcrush</a> in San Francisco <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2010/04/how-blogging-got-me-a-best-friend/" target="_blank">this April</a>.  While sipping margarita&#8217;s at <a href="http://www.tresagaves.com/locations/sf" target="_blank">Tres Agaves</a> during a Tweet-Up, <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Zh_sOcQPd2NNsIKnAx7GQQ?feat=directlink" target="_blank">I was introduced to Lauren Friedman</a> who writes <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/" target="_blank">The Off-Beat Report</a>.  Lauren was so sweet and nice, gushing &#8220;I follow you on Twitter. You&#8217;re opheliaswebb!  I&#8217;m <a href="http://twitter.com/Lauren_Hannah/" target="_blank">Lauren_Hannah</a>.&#8221;  To which I essentially had respond &#8220;Yeah, apparently I&#8217;m kind of a beotch, I don&#8217;t know if I follow you.&#8221;  Silly rabbit, I have no idea why the heck I wasn&#8217;t following her.  We spent the night laughing and bonding and programming our cell phone numbers into each others phones like any good crush-worthy person would.  Within a week of returning from my trip she posted &#8220;<a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/2010/05/apparently-i%e2%80%99m-a-control-freak/" target="_blank">Apparently, I&#8217;m a Control Freak</a>.&#8221;  And I knew I was hooked.</p>
<p>Lauren really strikes me as one of the best modern day &#8220;renaissance women.&#8221;  Aside from writing about topics from <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/category/create-your-happiness/" target="_blank">happiness</a> to <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/category/social-media/" target="_blank">social media</a> to <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/category/sex/" target="_blank">sex</a>, she also finds time to update two other sites AND kick ass for far too many hours a week as a <a href="http://www.contextoptional.com/" target="_blank">Community Genius</a>.  No, seriously, <a href="http://www.contextoptional.com/2010/inside-facebook-us-census-bureau-adds-mapping-application-on-facebook/" target="_blank">that&#8217;s</a> <a href="http://www.contextoptional.com/2010/everything-is-good-in-moderation-how-to-get-the-most-out-of-your-moderation-tool/" target="_blank">her</a> <a href="http://www.contextoptional.com/2010/social-and-mobile-collide-at-womma-wine-wednesday/" target="_blank">job</a> at an awesome social marketing company in SF called <a href="http://www.contextoptional.com/" target="_blank">Context Optional</a> (if you watch the <a href="http://www.contextoptional.com/about/staff/" target="_blank">scrolling pics at the bottom</a> you&#8217;ll catch a glimpse of Ms. Lauren and her great co-workers &#8211; doesn&#8217;t that look like a fun place to work?!)  A woman after my own heart who &#8220;wear[s] the highest heels, fall[s] in love really fast and [is] a workaholic. [She goes] to extremes.&#8221;  Additionally <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/about/" target="_blank">her About page</a> reveals that she &#8220;[is] impatient, worr[ies] too much, wear[s] her heart on her sleeve, question[s] everything and dip[s] her toes in too many puddles for her feet to stay grounded.&#8221;  Her <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/photography/" target="_blank">constantly updating photo album</a> is a great glimpse into the days and nights of a working girl in San Francisco.</p>
<p>Speaking of getting a glimpse into the life of someone, I&#8217;ve recently become near obsessed with <a href="http://laurenslifecast.tumblr.com/" target="_blank">Lauren&#8217;s Lifecast</a>, a constantly updating site of snippets of her life in multi-media form.  Sort of like a scrapbook meets a Moleskine meets Twitter meets <a href="http://laurenslifecast.tumblr.com/day/2010/06/26" target="_blank">SO MUCH AWESOMENESS</a> <a href="http://laurenslifecast.tumblr.com/post/671876253/my-grand-gesture" target="_blank">I WANT ONE NOW</a>!!  It&#8217;s like I finally understand the point of <a href="http://laurenslifecast.tumblr.com/what-is-a-lifecast" target="_blank">a Tumblr account</a>.  I know, it&#8217;s getting overwhelming with all the amazingness this girl puts out BUT I&#8217;M STILL NOT FINISHED.</p>
<p>Even if she didn&#8217;t have any of this other stuff her posts could easily stand on her own.  Aside from the fact that she has written one of <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/2010/07/book-review-eat-pray-love/" target="_blank">the most useful reviews of Eat, Pray, Love that I&#8217;ve found online</a> (I swear ladies, I keep trying to like that book and finish it!) she also has put out some of the <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/2010/05/a-true-test-for-human-kindness/" target="_blank">most poignant</a>, <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/2010/02/the-art-and-delicacy-of-friendship/" target="_blank">best friendship</a>, <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/2009/12/business-and-the-art-of-listening/" target="_blank">young professional</a> <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com/wordpress/2009/10/i-may-be-single-but-i-am-not-alone/" target="_blank">single girl</a> content in my blogosphere.</p>
<p>So if you are looking for a sometimes hilarious/sometimes provacative/sometimes techies/always awesome blog to get photos, videos, blog posts and much more, make sure to add <a href="http://theoffbeatreport.com" target="_blank">The Off Beat Report</a> to your feeds.</p>

<p><em><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-size: 85%;">I update The Webb on Tuesdays with a little ditty about my most recent <a href="http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=blogcrush">blogcrush</a> &#8211; a blog that I follow frequently and find inspiration, laughter and deep thoughts from. </span></span></em></p>
<p>I first learned about this week&#8217;s <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> when a former <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/07/blogcrush-carlos-miceli/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> wrote about his magnetism and gushed in a<a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/inspiration/magnetic-bromance/" target="_blank"> totally manly bromance post</a>.  Soon enough I noticed that a lot of my fellow bloggers were re-Tweeting his stuff and conversing regularly with him. I&#8217;m not sure if it&#8217;s just the amazing posts he puts out over at <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/" target="_blank">Exile Lifestyle</a> or his <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/project/project/" target="_blank">jet-setting location independent minimalist lifestyle</a> or the fact that he&#8217;s a very genuine and successful <a href="http://colinismy.name/" target="_blank">multidisciplinary graphic designer</a> in the social media world (an anomaly, I assure you) but <a href="http://twitter.com/colinismyname" target="_blank">Colin Wright</a> is definitely a great person to be connected with.</p>
<p>Now I know a few of you just read that description and want to immediately click off this page, thinking &#8220;Great, another LIP (<a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/mobility/location-independent-digital-nomad-survey/" target="_blank">Location Independent Professional</a>) who drones on about the lifestyle and is gonna tell me I suck cause I&#8217;m not doing it.&#8221;  Not gonna lie, I was hesitant to follow him because of this stigma.  But the thing I learned quickly about Colin was that he <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/inspiration/feel/" target="_blank">is NOTHING</a> <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/lifestyle/paying/" target="_blank">like</a> this stereotype.  Sure, he is going to <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/mobility/zealand-beautiful-sick/" target="_blank">gush about</a> the <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/project/today-exhaled/" target="_blank">amazing places</a> he visits and encourage everyone to at least <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/mobility/unplanned-vacation/" target="_blank">consider</a> <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/lifestyle/traveler-time/" target="_blank">traveling</a> to <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/mobility/stop-not-traveling/" target="_blank">enhance their lives</a>.  And yes, <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/project/all-72-things-own/" target="_blank">he takes photos of everything he owns</a> to remind people of the <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/sustainability/19-things-you-can-replace-with-an-iphone/" target="_blank">effectiveness</a> and <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/lifestyle/tweeting/" target="_blank">liberation</a> of <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/minimalism/" target="_blank">minimalist living</a>.  One of the biggest differences is that Colin seems to thrive not only on <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/inspiration/philosophically-fulfilled/" target="_blank">philosophizing</a> his ideas out, but he also <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/lifestyle/sexy/" target="_blank">begs to know</a> what you think/do/are in return.  He&#8217;s one of <a href="http://colinismy.name/social/" target="_blank">the most accessible people</a> I&#8217;ve encountered online (and I&#8217;ve encountered a lot!)</p>
<p>The thing with Colin is that he could get by just with his insights on topics like those, but he really has <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/inspiration/" target="_blank">amazing stuff</a> to say ABOUT SO MANY OTHER THINGS.  Heck, when I started creating <a href="http://delicious.com/opheliaswebb" target="_blank">Delicious bookmarks</a> for Google Reader articles I wanted to keep (yes, I know I <strong><em>can</em></strong> share them, but I like Delicious better) I quickly realized that his posts were regularly finding their way into my tags.   Whether he is <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/entrepreneur/doritos-lazy/" target="_blank">writing about</a> <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/entrepreneur/attempted-worknight-5-acts/" target="_blank">the challenges</a> of <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/entrepreneur/building-vaderless-empire/" target="_blank">running</a> a <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/design/creatives-word-boss/" target="_blank">creative business</a> or <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/inspiration/personal-renaissance/" target="_blank">personal renaissances</a> his posts <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/lifestyle/your-life-story-boring/" target="_blank">rarely miss the mark</a>.</p>
<p>And if you haven&#8217;t downloaded his &#8220;<a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/lifestyle/free-ebook-remarkable/" target="_blank">How To Be Remarkable</a>&#8221; E-Book yet, then I highly suggest you go post-haste and do that.  Don&#8217;t worry&#8230;I&#8217;ll wait&#8230;it&#8217;s that good.</p>
<p><span>So if you are looking to join the adventure of a location independent entrepreneur who isn&#8217;t going to preach at you and has SO much more to talk about than just travel and running a business then head on over to <a href="http://exilelifestyle.com/" target="_blank">Exile Lifestyle</a>.<br />

</span></span></em></p>
<p>I learned about this week&#8217;s #blogcrush when a post of hers was featured on the front page of <a href="http://www.brazencareerist.com/" target="_blank">Brazen Careerist</a> last April.  The post, <a href="http://www.brazencareerist.com/2009/04/07/all-my-friends-are-getting-married-and-im-just-getting-drunk" target="_blank">All My Friends Are Getting Married,  And I&#8217;m Just Getting Drunk</a>, seriously made me LOL at my computer.  And not enough moves me to actually do thing in computer speak outside the screen, let alone type it.  But <a href="http://twitter.com/Jenkucsak" target="_blank">Jen Kucsak&#8217;</a>s blog &#8220;<a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/" target="_blank">The Dating Jungle</a>&#8221; has always provided me at least a chuckle if not a full on laugh-out-loud giggle that makes people look at me like I&#8217;m a crazy person.</p>
<p>Jen is sorta like a <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/11/letter-to-candace-bushnell.html" target="_blank">Carrie Bradshaw-esque</a> writer, bringing the shenanigans of her own life alive for the world to enjoy.  I gotta say, that&#8217;s one of the most endearing and entirely amusing things about her blog.  Reading through some of the stories, you feel like you are watching your favorite girl-powered comedy unfolding.  Laid off from her job as an <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3461800/" target="_blank">associate producer</a> at a pretty prestigious daytime talk show, Jen picked up and hauled on out to <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/search/label/Hollyweird" target="_blank">LALa-land</a> (as my friend the musician who lives out there calls it) to pursue a career as a <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/10/life-imitates-art.html" target="_blank">writer</a>/executive producer/<a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2008/09/true-life-i-was-seat-filler-at-vmas.html" target="_blank">world-famous-star</a> of what I&#8217;m sure will be a hilarious movie or sitcom based in part on her life*.  In the meantime, if I&#8217;m reading things correctly, she might be the Broom in the upcoming <a href="http://cinema.theiapolis.com/movie-2S6X/the-sorcerer-s-apprentice/cast.html" target="_blank">The Sorcerer&#8217;s Apprentice</a>?!</p>
<p>I love the stride Jen seems to take her life in.  She has some of the strangest stuff happen to her (seriously, she has an entire tagged category called &#8220;<a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/search/label/Weird%20Shit%20that%20Only%20Happens%20to%20Me" target="_blank">Weird Shit That Only Happens To Me</a>&#8220;) but her <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/04/glory-days.html" target="_blank">good nature</a> and <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/08/funny-people.html" target="_blank">sense of humor </a>overcome even the least funny of <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/12/you-and-me-could-write-bad-fake-romance.html" target="_blank">situations</a>.  For a site originally intended to tell stories of her <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/search/label/Dating%20Catastrophes" target="_blank">dating adventures</a>, it has grown into <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/01/saddest-thing-in-life-is-wasted-talent.html" target="_blank">so much more</a>.  Anything that involves her well meaning <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/12/shit-my-jewish-mom-does.html" target="_blank">Jewish</a> <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2008/10/because-she-said-so.html" target="_blank">New York City</a> <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/2009/07/gossip-mom.html">mother</a> are pretty hilarious as well.  Regardless, I devour her new posts in my Reader, they are amazing!</p>
<p>So if you are looking for a hilarious blog about a &#8220;starving&#8221; screenwriter/actress/producer/hilarious New York City refugee and Hollywood trendsetter on a site where life &amp; love are anything but ordinary, check out <a href="http://www.thedatingjungle.org/" target="_blank">The Dating Jungle</a>.</p>
<p>* Jen &#8211; When you write about this in your movie, could you please find some super hot actress to play my character?  I&#8217;m thinking Salma Hayek, even though I am the furthest from a gorgeous Latin woman that exists.  But you know, it could happen&#8230;in Maine&#8230;yeah&#8230;just find a pasty white Irish chick and we&#8217;ll call it a day.  *sigh*</p>

</span></span></em></p>
<p>I apologize to my blog readership for not introducing you to this <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> sooner.  Everyone Tweeted and linked and TOLD me I should be following her, but for some reason I only occasionally dropped in to scan over the posts (hey, what can I say&#8230;I have over 300 blogs in my reader, always looking for the next crush.)  And in truth, it wasn&#8217;t until I got a Google Alert about <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/11/16/mindcrushes-unfiltered/" target="_blank">this post about MindCrushes</a> (I have an alert set up on BlogCrush and the pingbacks set Google off!) that made me check out <a href="http://twitter.com/SydneyOwen" target="_blank">Sydney Owen&#8217;s</a> blog, <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/" target="_blank">Unfiltered</a>.</p>
<p>Sydney is one of the most relatable bloggers I&#8217;ve encountered online.  She tells stories in a way that make you feel like you are sitting across the table from her at the coffee shop while she regales you with her <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/11/25/hes-just-not-that-into-you-unfiltered/" target="_blank">latest tale</a> of <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/12/22/catss-unfiltered/" target="_blank">dating horror</a>.  This is especially evidenced by the odd phenomenon I&#8217;ve seen on her blog of &#8220;hate commenters&#8221; that <strong>continue</strong> reading her blog and leave negative comments.  Most anyone would tell these people to pound sand and leave them alone (or at least ask &#8220;Why do you keep reading then?!)  People seem to have an especially hard time <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/06/23/finding-a-balance/" target="_blank">aligning</a> the fact that Sydney is an extremely accomplished young woman living on her own in <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/04/06/im-chicago-bound-part-one/" target="_blank">Chicago</a> and <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/07/06/the-adjustment-period-its-a-doozy/" target="_blank">adjusting</a> to <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/05/18/shame-on-your-silver-spoon/" target="_blank">post-graduate life</a> with the idea that she is still a young 20-something living her life and <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/04/28/the-new-and-shiny-is-gone/" target="_blank">figuring it out</a>.  Amazingly, with all this she STILL dares to share herself in a <a href="http://http://sydneyowen.com/2009/11/18/people-who-get-it-unfiltered/" target="_blank">completely</a> &#8220;<a href="http://sydneyowen.com/category/unfiltered/" target="_blank">unfiltered</a>&#8221; format with the world.  THAT is a strong woman.</p>
<p>Of course anyone frequenting my own blog knows that I am a fan of anyone willing to share an adorably dorky nature with the world, and I have definitely found a kindred spirit in Sydney.  Whether she is writing about <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2008/12/20/love-lessons-and-relating-them-to-your-professional-life/" target="_blank">former relationships</a> or <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/01/23/mysterious-vibrations/" target="_blank">phantom iPhone vibrations</a> she injects a humourous dose of analogy into business and life lessons.  Her current &#8220;<a href="http://sydneyowen.com/category/unfiltered/" target="_blank">Unfiltered</a>&#8221; blog posts are my favorite part of her blog, but any of her former insights about <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/04/11/why-pr-doesnt-work-and-how-i-intend-to-change-that/" target="_blank">business</a>, <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/05/30/a-social-media-how-to-jumpstart-your-career-part-two/" target="_blank">social media</a> and Gen-Y workers are also gems.  Plus she has <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/2009/12/09/holiday-parties-unfiltered/" target="_blank">moose pajamas</a>&#8230;and this girl from Maine has to appreciate ANYONE with moose pajamas!</p>
<p>So if you are looking for a great blog about a young woman living on her own in &#8220;the big city&#8221; and defining her life on terms she wants (and sometimes learning to roll with the punches of it) while also throwing in some pretty savvy insight into PR/marketing/biz then check out <a href="http://sydneyowen.com/" target="_blank">Unfiltered</a>.</p>

</span></span></em></p>
<p>I first learned about this week&#8217;s <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> when I asked a few Twitter friends for some women to follow in my Reader.  A former <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/07/blogcrush-carlos-miceli/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> gave me a few suggestions, including <a href="http://twitter.com/20orsomething" target="_blank">Susan Pogorzelski</a> (who blogs and Tweets under 20(or)something.)  And then I started following Susan on Twitter.  And subscribing to her blog.  And emailing with her.  And Skyping with her.  And Susan became one of the greatest friends I&#8217;ve made online.</p>
<p>Which is why I&#8217;ve had this draft sitting in my queue for over a month.  I&#8217;ve always been very careful to be as objective as possible, writing about most #BlogCrushes before I&#8217;ve really become friends with them.  But that&#8217;s one of the most appealing things about Susan, both as a person and in her blog.  She&#8217;s just such an amazing person that I&#8217;m gonna throw all my #BlogCrush and blogging rules aside and write up a little ditty about her blog, <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/about/" target="_blank">20(or)something</a>.</p>
<p>Susan is a blogger that you don&#8217;t run across on a regular basis.  Rather than only writing about the buzzword topics of <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2009/11/03/whats-the-name-of-the-game/" target="_blank">social media</a> and <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/07/28/just-get-yourself-free/" target="_blank">career paths</a> she also writes about the things that most impact the life of a 20-something.  She writes about <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/07/06/i-might-catch-a-glimpse-of-me/" target="_blank">love</a> and <a href="http://twentyorsomething.wordpress.com/2008/07/17/the-water-is-warm-til-you-discover-how-deep/" target="_blank">perspective</a> and <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/10/25/so-hard-to-stay-too-hard-to-leave-it/" target="_blank">home</a> and <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/10/31/thank-god-even-crazy-dreams-come-true-part-ii/" target="_blank">dreams</a>.  While most people are writing their posts with brand and judgment in mind, Susan just <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2009/09/17/you-will-not-be-forgotten/" target="_blank">lays herself out there</a>.  You feel like she is giving you the opportunity to glimpse in to see the <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2009/05/12/you-may-say-im-a-dreamer/" target="_blank">real her</a>, something you frequently have to wonder about online.  Plus, she loves <a href="http://twitter.com/20orsomething/status/5780716113" target="_blank">Neil Patrick Harris</a> as much as me, which is just amazing (Doogie, why did you have to instill in me <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/10/what-is-love/" target="_blank">a love</a> for gay men?!)</p>
<p>She writes from a place of experience in trying new things.  Of never giving up or settling, but instead <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/06/30/giving-up-vs-giving-in/" target="_blank">seeing realities</a> and adjusting her plans.  Whether it is <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/11/04/adventures-in-a-wonder-land/" target="_blank">traveling</a> across the world to <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/11/17/today-is-a-winding-road/" target="_blank">live in France</a> or <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2009/08/30/going-back-to-the-start/" target="_blank">returning to her full-time job</a> upon realizing that <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2009/03/25/battling-yourself-the-fear-of-writing/" target="_blank">freelancing</a> is not going to work for her (right now) she is constantly growing and discovering herself in a raw and candid manner for the world to see.  Perhaps my favorite part of her whole blog is when she has hard and <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/05/03/across-this-universe/" target="_blank">in depth</a> conversations with the <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2008/11/26/notes-from-the-universe/" target="_blank">Universe</a> (yep, you read that right) which are somehow <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com/2009/11/16/apparently-the-universe-has-hijacked-this-post/" target="_blank">humorous and poignant</a> all rolled up in one.</p>
<p>So if you are looking for a great blog about the struggles and questions of a 20-something person trying to navigate their place in life while attempting to bribe the Universe with Tootsie Rolls, then check out <a href="http://twentyorsomething.com" target="_blank">20(or)something</a>.</p>

<p><em><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-size:85%;">Every week I&#8217;ll be updating The Webb with a little ditty about my most recent <a href="http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=blogcrush">blogcrush</a> &#8211; a blog that I follow frequently and find inspiration, laughter and deep thoughts from. You know who they are, those bloggers that you&#8217;ve never even met but you feel a strange connection&#8230;you almost have a little crush on them? These are most definitely folks on my blog roll, and if you are reading and subscribing to The Webb they should be on yours, too.</span></span></em></p>
<p>It was bound to happen.  And today it will.  The #BlogCrush is becoming 2-dimensional.  Coming FROM Portland, ME it&#8217;s all about a blogger over in Portland, OR.  It&#8217;s like we are defying the laws of physics or something!  I first learned about <a href="http://twitter.com/seanogle" target="_blank">Sean Ogle&#8217;s</a> blog, <a href="http://www.seanogle.com" target="_blank">Location 180</a>, thru a<a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/06/blogcrush-ryan-stephens/" target="_blank"> former #BlogCrush&#8217;s</a><a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/06/blogcrush-ryan-stephens/"> </a>bi-monthly <a href="http://ryanstephensmarketing.com/blog/top-10-gen-y-blogs/" target="_blank">Top 10 Gen Y Blogs</a>.  See Sean came out of no where (to me) in the August ballot and rightfully claimed a tie for the #1 position in October.  One of the things I LOVE about Sean is that even though he almost managed to unseat the perennial Top 10 winner, he <a href="http://ryanstephensmarketing.com/blog/top-10-gen-y-blogs-october-2009/#comment-2872" target="_blank">barely mentioned</a> the win.*  Instead just how honored he was to make the list.</p>
<p>Sean is part of a growing subset of bloggers writing about <a href="http://www.brazencareerist.com/group/location-independent" target="_blank">location independence</a> and <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/category/lifestyle-design" target="_blank">lifestyle design</a>.  There are tons of other blogs out there writing the same thing, so what makes Sean&#8217;s so special?  Well, in addition to his ideas on the two topics, Sean created his own <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/the-list" target="_blank">list</a>.  Not just a simple 7 Things To Do Before I&#8217;m 30 list, but a massive 100 bullet point <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/how-to/10-tips-for-creating-a-useful-bucket-list" target="_blank">bucket list</a> of sorts that focuses intensively on <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/category/travel" target="_blank">travel</a> and <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/misc/my-quest-to-play-golf-at-augusta-national" target="_blank">happiness</a> in his life.   In fact he admits that the site was originally a method for him to hold himself <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/lifestyle-design/accountability-and-a-comfortable-life" target="_blank">accountable</a> to the accomplishment of his <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/headline/the-bucket-list-version-20" target="_blank">ever-evolving list</a>.  Fortunately for us we get to <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/headline/video-of-south-sister-hike" target="_blank">come along</a> for the ride.</p>
<p>Sean&#8217;s bucket list and stories about it are reason enough to follow Location 180, but amazingly there&#8217;s even more.  While doing things like <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/headline/32-see-dave-matthews-band-at-the-gorge-amphitheater-completed" target="_blank">seeing Dave Matthews at the Gorges</a> and visiting one of the <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/travel/two-days-at-iguazu-falls" target="_blank">most beautiful waterfalls</a> on Earth should be enough to <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/headline/i-am-a-hypocrite" target="_blank">inflate an ego</a> to spew nothing but awesomeness at his accomplishments, Sean is actually very <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/headline/what-to-do-when-you-dont-know-what-to-do" target="_blank">realistic</a> about his goals.  And he devotes a lot of his writing to a little about him but also <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/travel/the-benefits-of-day-dreaming" target="_blank">encouraging</a> and <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/uncategorized/finding-the-courage-to-go-through-with-it" target="_blank">challenging</a> his readers to <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/headline/the-demise-of-the-american-dream" target="_blank">pursue their dreams</a>.  In terms of modest blogging, Sean is one of the classiest acts I&#8217;ve found.</p>
<p>If you are looking for some great insight into lifestyle design from someone with a passion for travel and dreams through the stratosphere but still grounded to Earth, then I suggest you check out <a href="http://www.seanogle.com/" target="_blank">Location 180</a>.</p>
<p><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-style: italic;">* In the interest of full disclosure he DID mention Ophelia&#8217;s Webb in the comments as one of the blogs he follows. However Sean becoming a #BlogCrush was mulling around in my mind long before the October results came out.<br />

</span></span></em></p>
<p>I first learned about this week&#8217;s <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> when he commented on <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/10/if-you-cant-say-something-nice/" target="_blank">my post</a> asking if we as a society have gotten too nice.  Not sure if he found his way over to the Webb from <a href="http://www.brazencareerist.com/profile/rich-dematteo" target="_blank">Brazen Careerist</a> or a <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/06/blogcrush-matt-cheuvront/" target="_blank">former #BlogCrush</a>, but boy am I glad that he did.  <a href="http://twitter.com/CornOnTheJob" target="_blank">Rich DeMatteo</a> is a great HR/staffing blogger who has a website with a super fun name, <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/" target="_blank">Corn On The Job</a>.  He is probably one of the most engaged people I&#8217;ve encountered on my Twitter feed as well, and we just &#8220;met up&#8221; less than a month ago.</p>
<p>The first thing you&#8217;ll notice when you get on to Rich&#8217;s blog is the awesome redesign by <a href="http://twitter.com/mattChevy" target="_blank">Matt Cheuvront</a>.  I&#8217;m a girl who loves a clean, structured and still fun blog, so I was happy to see the new Corn on the Job when it came out a couple weeks ago.  Rich&#8217;s Twitter bio states that he is  &#8220;<span>here to help you relax, smile, laugh, and <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/category/career-advice/" target="_blank">possibly secure</a> your next big job. Won&#8217;t you be my neighbor?&#8221;  And that&#8217;s exactly <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/about-2/" target="_blank">what Rich does</a>, when he&#8217;s not finishing up grad school and coaching his <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cabrini-College-Roller-Hockey/192308441448" target="_blank">collegiate roller hockey team</a>.  Though I know he did not <a href="http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=funemployed" target="_blank">coin the term</a>, he was one of the first to really make me aware of the phenomenon known as &#8220;FUNemployment&#8221; and <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/career-advice/are-you-unemployed-heres-20-ways-to-become-funemployed/" target="_blank">what to do during it</a>.  Of course I&#8217;m always a fan of anyone with <a href="http://andrewparkes.me/2009/10/23/richs-dream-passion-and-straight-up-hustle/" target="_blank">some great goals and dreams</a> for the future, especially when they involve both professional AND personal.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span>Corn On The Job is a great place to check in to for up to the minute realistic advice on your career and any job seeking.  With Rich&#8217;s expertise and experience, he&#8217;s seen just about every angle of the hiring process (from <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/national-hiring-news/us-unemployment/" target="_blank">unemploment</a> to <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/career-advice/interview-tips/long-interview-process-contest/" target="_blank">interviews</a> to <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/social-media/hello-world-2/" target="_blank">social media job seeking</a> to <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/lessons-from-hollywood/career-street-cred-phoenix/" target="_blank">career paths</a> to <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/national-hiring-news/obama-community-college/" target="_blank">layoffs</a>.)  Plus his background and degreework in Human Resources allow him the skills to cover some harder &#8220;conversation&#8221; topics like <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/career-advice/interview-tips/hygiene-contest/" target="_blank">body odor</a> and the <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/career-advice/e-mail-address/" target="_blank">kissyface email paradox</a>, but in a very funny way.  He makes things accessible by giving them <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/career-advice/interview-tips/why-interviewing-is-like-dating/" target="_blank">real life application</a> and his ideas for <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/networking/5-networking-tips-for-shy/" target="_blank">how to network if you are shy</a> are fantastic.  Though he&#8217;s only been blogging for <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/2009/07/" target="_blank">less than half a year</a> he is already building a loyal following of <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Corn-On-The-Job/104526283865" target="_blank">Corn Heads</a> who turn to him for advice in helping them <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/career-advice/what-did-you-want-to-be-when-you-grew-up-discussion-reply-with-your-answer/" target="_blank">plan their professional future</a>.  In other words by this time next year <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/" target="_blank">Corn On The Job</a> will be one of those sites that you can say you knew when.<br />
</span></p>
<p><span>So if you are looking for a great site to turn to for some good career and HR advice with a lot of humor and realism thrown in, check out <a href="http://www.cornonthejob.com/" target="_blank">Corn On The Job</a>.<br />

You know who they are, those bloggers that you&#8217;ve never even met but you feel a strange connection&#8230;you almost have a little crush on them? These are most definitely folks on my blog roll, and if you are reading and subscribing to The Webb they should be on yours, too.</span></span></em><em><span style="font-style: italic;"><span style="font-size:85%;"><br />
</span></span></em></p>
<p>The reason for this week&#8217;s <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">BlogCrush</a> is simple&#8230;<a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/Meflip1.jpg" target="_blank">she&#8217;s a babe</a>.</p>
<p>Well, more appropriately <a href="http://twitter.com/Writerbabe" target="_blank">Raven Moore</a> is a <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/" target="_blank">Writerbabe</a>.  Raven is another blogger that I can&#8217;t quite remember how I found.  I feel like she was a recommendation, maybe she was a featured post on Brazen.  I know that her post on The Writerbabe Series about &#8220;<a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/07/02/marriageability-is-extinct-so-lets-drop-the-idea-of-wife-material/" target="_blank">wife materia</a>l&#8221; was definitely the thing that fully drew me in to her site.  Then when we traded a few direct messages and she stated her love for Maine and that she <a href="http://www.bates.edu/" target="_blank">went to college here</a>, I knew I was going to like her even more.</p>
<p>Raven is one of the <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/06/01/three-things-i-hate-about-creativity/" target="_blank">most creative people</a> I&#8217;ve encountered in the blogosphere.  Like my first ever <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/06/blogcrush-modite/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> she is brilliant in many mediums, from writing to books to <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/category/photo-of-the-day/" target="_blank">photography</a> to art.  <a href="http://twitter.com/ArtWorksProject" target="_blank">Her 9-5</a>, in fact, is an amazing <a href="http://www.artworksprojects.org/" target="_blank">arts project</a> used to increase human rights awareness in the mainstream through arts and design.  She also essentially created the trademark &#8220;WriterBabe&#8221; after finding inspiration in Ani DiFrannco&#8217;s <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Righteous_Babe_Records" target="_blank">Righteous Babe records</a>. One of my favorite things about Raven, however, is the fact that she is sometimes <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/who-am-i/" target="_blank">a little quirky, cranky and/or happy</a>.  She isn&#8217;t afraid to let her readers see any of those sides, either.</p>
<p>On The Writerbabe Series, she <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/04/23/perhaps-im-not-all-that-interesting-because-everyone-is-agreeing-with-me/" target="_blank">kinda says what she thinks</a> and <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2008/12/03/carnal-advice-for-day-to-day-living/" target="_blank">provokes great thought</a> through some <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/01/21/transparency-in-the-blogosphere-and-beyond/" target="_blank">deep realistic opinions</a>.  I&#8217;m especially a fan of the way she isn&#8217;t afraid to call out some of the <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/09/17/the-practical-absurdity-of-reading-blogs/" target="_blank">absurdities</a> of <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/09/22/the-obvious-alternative-to-highlighting-bloggers-instead-of-using-top-ten-lists-maybe/" target="_blank">social media</a> and <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/04/22/the-pros-of-blogging-without-a-niche/" target="_blank">blogging</a>.  Good news, however, is that while Raven&#8217;s writing is going to force you to stretch those brain cells, there is <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/04/13/anna-pulley-sex-journo-extraordinaire/" target="_blank">plenty of fun</a> mixed in as well.  And she is accessible, whether writing about the <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/08/07/domestic-bliss/" target="_blank">importance of video games in a relationship</a>, her <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/08/17/the-obligatory-and-token-birthday-post/" target="_blank">birthday</a> or the <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/06/12/how-to-not-be-an-annoying-chicago-transplant/" target="_blank">annoyance of urban transplants</a>.  Plus, we all know <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/04/contrary-to-popular-belief-i-am-in-fact-a-girl/" target="_blank">I&#8217;ve gotta like a girl</a> who admits that she has issues <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/2009/06/28/god-please-give-me-the-strength-to-grow-up/" target="_blank">being friends with girls</a> (even if it IS kinda because of her.)</p>
<p>So if you are looking fora  blog &#8220;for the professionally curious&#8221; that has no niche but instead creativity, opinion, deep thoughts and lots of fun, check out <a href="http://www.thewriterbabeseries.com/" target="_blank">The Writerbabe Series</a>.</p>

</span></span></em></p>
<p>I first learned about this week&#8217;s <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/blogcrush-series/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush</a> when he <a href="http://www.lifewithoutpants.com/green-week/take-it-off-guest-post-by-sam-davidson/" target="_blank">guest posted</a> on a former <a href="http://www.opheliaswebb.com/2009/06/blogcrush-matt-cheuvront/" target="_blank">#BlogCrush&#8217;s blog</a> and it was featured on <a href="http://www.brazencareerist.com/profile/sam-davidson" target="_blank">Brazen Careerist</a>.  <a href="http://www.twitter.com/samdavidson" target="_blank">Sam Davidson</a> lives the life <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2007/9/11/the-call-of-the-entrepreneur.html" target="_blank">most of us dream</a> as a <a href="http://http://www.coolpeoplecare.org/" target="_blank">Co-Founder</a> of a kick-ass non-profit organization, <a href="http://www.coolpeoplecare.org/" target="_blank">Cool People Care</a>.  However as much as I adore Sam&#8217;s company and vision for our generation, it is his <a href="http://samdavidson.net/" target="_blank">personal blog</a> that I have in the Favorites folder of my Reader.  He writes about everything from <a href="http://samdavidson.squarespace.com/blog/2009/1/5/dont-make-a-resolution-take-the-physical-challenge-instead.html" target="_blank">running a half-marathon</a> to how <a href="http://samdavidson.squarespace.com/blog/2009/4/2/social-media-and-arts-organizations.html" target="_blank">nonprofits can use social media</a>.</p>
<p>In Sam&#8217;s own words from his <a href="http://samdavidson.net/about-me/" target="_blank">About</a> page, <em>&#8220;I&#8217;m a <a href="http://samdavidson.net/speaking-schedule/" target="_blank">speaker</a>, <a href="http://store.coolpeoplecare.org/products/new-day-revolution-how-to-save-the-world-in-24-hours" target="_blank">writer</a> and <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2008/4/11/what-finished-feels-likeand-what-funding-looks-like.html" target="_blank">dreamer</a> who tells stories that need telling in order to motivate others to change the things that need changing</em>.&#8221;  Sure, you can throw a pebble anywhere into the ocean of <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2008/7/25/everybodys-talking-about-gen-y.html" target="_blank">Generation Y</a> and find someone who says they are <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2009/2/18/today-while-talking-about-saving-the-world.html" target="_blank">passionate</a> about <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/category/change" target="_blank">change</a>.  However in most everything I have read from Sam, it is obvious that he doesn&#8217;t just give his passion <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2007/8/6/how-to-be-remarkable.html" target="_blank">lip service</a>.  Plus, <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2009/10/6/she-wore-a-striped-dress-and-they-ate-sushi.html" target="_blank">his recent post on picturing a dinner with his own daughter after witnessing the scene in a restaurant</a>, is probably one of the most poignant things written on the world wide web.</p>
<p>The great thing about this blog is that in addition to this passion and personal insight, he really IS a mecca for aspiring entrepreneurs and social media folks.  Sam is so very realistic about what <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2007/12/6/theres-a-rumbling.html" target="_blank">start-up life</a> is like, the <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2009/5/6/dont-let-your-marriage-fail-when-your-spouse-goes-to-grad-sc.html" target="_blank">sacrifices</a> you make, and the things you can <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2009/3/31/business-lessons-from-a-half-marathon-hurrying-up-to-wait.html" target="_blank">learn about business from running a half-marathon</a>.  His take on social media is also the path that should be followed by most entrepreneurs/businesses/branders/etc.  It&#8217;s novel, it&#8217;s crazy, it&#8217;s <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2008/10/21/if-you-wont-tell-me-who-you-are-please-go-away.html" target="_blank">about community</a>.  Sam&#8217;s passion in social media is for <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2009/9/24/nonprofits-and-social-media-time-to-save-the-world.html" target="_blank">helping nonprofits</a> <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2008/12/31/i-raised-448-in-3-minutes.html" target="_blank">raise money</a>.  The lessons transcend topic though.</p>
<p>If you are looking for someone who is pretty Cool and actually Cares to help you navigate this crazy world of social media and branding, while occasionally throwing in some great personal insight about <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2008/7/7/making-it.html" target="_blank">playing Wii</a> and <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/2009/8/20/when-i-found-out-my-wife-was-pregnant.html" target="_blank">impending parenthood</a>, then you should check out <a href="http://samdavidson.net/blog/" target="_blank">Sam Davidson&#8217;s blog</a>.</p>
<p>PS &#8211; I would be remiss to not also direct you one last time to his company&#8217;s site, <a href="http://www.coolpeoplecare.org/" target="_blank">Cool People Care</a>.  I absolutely adore them&#8230;maybe I just want to be a cool people and maybe you should be one, too.</p>
