Growing up I was a snow day wisher. I’d actually not do homework the night before anticipating snow days. I recently sat at a luncheon meeting listening to an entrepreneur talk about her start-up business. The meeting consisted of other successful women in their professional fields and business owners themselves.
The woman had a fantastic idea for a company centering around becoming a personal historian. She is funding this endeavor by making DVD’s of her family’s own history and a book she is looking to get published. I can’t lie…I stole the title from an old college classmate, Jon Duke.
When news leaked earlier this week about Alex Rodriguez’s sordid past and alleged steroid use I’m not going to lie…as a rabid Red Sox fan my heart did a little leap in my chest. I can’t quite explain it, I know nothing about A-Rod. But when he shunned my boys in blue and red, well, he shunned an entire nation and I just can’t stand for that.
