Sometimes the small stuff DOES make us sweat, and sometimes we are just having a REALLY BAD DAY and we could care less about the starving children in Africa. But there is a danger in focusing on these little problems and thinking they are an ACTUAL problem.
The sheer effort that is exerted in getting worked up and caring about so many little things is enough to exhaust a triathlete.

Now, I’d love to say “Oh well, no matter, moving on” or that my self-esteem bubble didn’t deflate and swirl around like a helium-tank gone haywire over the past week each time I logged onto the site only to stare at the “You are a loser and don’t have anyone attending. Freak” message at the bottom.
What had been a project that was going to pull me OUT of my prior failure, well, it is/was a colossally WORSE failure than the previous failure.

What is it about being online that somehow “gives” so many of us license to say things we’d never say “in our out loud voice”, write about lives we only pretend to dream of leading, and in general creating a second persona online?
It’s like this beautiful world of people that I adore so much is essentially tearing down any concepts of personal responsibility.
